Religion and literary studies. This new year-3 course Theology and Literature will be taught by Clare Radford. It will cover theological texts as well as novels, short stories, and poems and consider how and why contemporary theological movements have turned to literature as a key source, especially when engaging with race, gender, sexuality, global location, and traumatic experiences. Whether discussing The Hunger Games or The Handmaid’s Tale, Andrea Levy or Alice Walker, we will be thinking about the role that particular texts have played in shaping our own worldviews and learning.
