Religion and Theology. Elia Maggang recently passed his PhD viva. The thesis is titled “A Trinitarian Pneumatology of the Indonesian Maritime” and was supervised by Peter Scott and Scott Midson. The examiners were Sigurd Bergmann and David Law. During his PhD, he published “Blue Diakonia: the Mission of Indonesian Churches for and with the Sea” (Practical Theology, 2022), “Blue Disciple: A Christian Call for the Sea in Peril” (International Journal of Public Theology, 2022); “Emphasizing Fish, Fisher and the Sea for the Mission of Christian Church in the Context of the Marine Ecological Crisis: A Response to the Ten Commandments of Food” (Mission Studies, 2021).
