George Rawlinson who was awarded his PhD last month (“Contemporary Sufi-Sunni Revivalism and Sufi-Sunni Mosques in Manchester: Rethinking British Muslim Identities as Discursive and Affective Processes”), supervised by
Kamran Karimullah and
John Zavos. George is very much a product of the University of Manchester, having studied with us since his undergraduate days. Congratulations also to George for his appointment as temporary Lecturer in Modern Islam in the Dept of Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies in September 2021.
