Judaism and Gender. Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz gave a presentation on "Galleries, Guilds, and Graves: British Orthodox Jewish Women" for the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute Seminar Series. Drawing on interviews as well as on her own experience, Rabba Dr. Taylor-Guthartz shares her findings of how new norms of lived religion have emerged among British Orthodox women, influenced by the rise of feminism, the backlash against it, and by an evolving understanding of women’s religious roles.
