John Zavos' and
Katja Stuerzenhofecker's project showcases the principle of preparing students to apply their learning to specific work and/or social and political contexts outside the academy, and thus to develop employability skills and contribute to social responsibility. This work was supported by CHERIL funding in 2016-18. Teaching excellence, as reflected by
high student satisfaction and
teaching awards, is central to the departmental ethos.
